Feudi di San Gregorio

Produced with Candida, Parolise and Sorbo Serpico grapes, Fiano di Avellino has an intense straw-yellow colour with greenish shimmer. The aroma is intense and persistent. Distinct Mediterranean scents of fresh chamomile flowers and fruit – from a local peach variant to a more complex candied orange. The characteristic smooth notes of the grape are balanced by a lively freshness and mineral hints.

Wine Spectator

Bright and fruity, with lemon, papaya and honey aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied, with fresh acidity and a long finish. Drink now. 45,000 cases made.

Score: 88. —James Suckling, August 2008.

Wine Advocate

The 2007 Fiano di Avellino is a more subtle wine. It reveals a gorgeously woven fabric of ripe yellow peaches, showing excellent length and lovely harmony. Ideally, it might offer a little more varietal definition and character. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2010.

Score: 88. —Antonio Galloni, August 2008.
