A rich and deep expression of blackcurrants and blackberries with hints of red chili pepper, tobacco and cocoa powder, following through to a full body with powerful but fine, seamless tannins. A dash of petit verdot here. Compact and bright.

The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Cuvee Alexandre is also 10% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot, all from Apalta, Colchagua, aged for up to 14 months in used barrels. Purple with a garnet sheen. The liqueur-like nose presents notes of sour cherry and black currant plus hints of pepper and mint. In the mouth, it delivers good structure with firm tannins, juicy acidity and intense flavor. This is a full-bodied wine that needs time in the bottle.
