Castello di Bossi Corbaia 2009

Castello di Bossi Corbaia 2009

We're sorry, but this product is not currently available.

Intense ruby-red in color with garnet highlights, Corbaia offers jammy aromas of black currants, cherries, and cassis backed by hints of tobacco, mocha, and vanilla. On the palate, this wine is full-bodied yet supple and layered with a rich texture and well-integrated tannins. Pair this with grilled lamb chops, Bearnaise sauces, meats prepared alla Diavola, and grilled ribeye steaks.

Wine AdvocateToo young to drink now, this blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon shows all the requisites to be an age-worthy wine. The quality of the fruit is rich, the acidity is bright, and the tannins will carry the wine forward during its slow evolution.

Wine SpectatorA big, juicy red, bursting with black cherry, plum and woodsy flavors. The tannins are formidable, as much from oak as fruit, but there's plenty of fruit to match. Balanced toward the tannins and alcohol. Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon. Best from 2014 through 2020. 2,000 cases made.
