Christian Moreau Chablis Vaillon 2014
Wine SpectatorSmoky in aroma, this white boasts apple and lemon flavors, with a hint of citrus peel. The finish has a tactile element and quininel and white pepper accents. Best from 2017 through 2023. 400 cases imported.
Wine AdvocateThe 2014 Chablis 1er Cru Vaillons, vinified around 35% in barrel, has more reserved and chalkier nose compared to the 2013. Unusually it demands some coaxing from the glass. The palate is fresh and vibrant with lime and just a hint of asparagus, very tensile with a harmonious, sharp finish driven along by the acidity, which should be more assimilated during the remainder of its élevage. This has good potential.
