Reininger Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

Reininger Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

We're sorry, but this product is not currently available.

A well defined cooler vintage Cabernet Sauvignon showing a nice ruby color with aromatics of pronounced black currant, plum, cherry, sandalwood, and a mild background blend of eucalyptus, spice, dried roses and a hint of smoky earth. Easy tannins combine with the elegant flavors mirroring the nose for a graceful palate presentation accentuating the currant and cherry with a hint of cola nut and vanilla, that quickly evolves to beautiful lingering kirsch melded with a touch of milk chocolate and a sprinkling of spice. This Cab is not the boisterous seat at the dinner party. Rather it is the captivating, intriguing, humble guest that you want to stay the night.

Wine SpectatorStarts off on the lighter side, with a crisp texture and ripe currant and spice flavors that gain momentum as the harmonious finish lingers. Deftly made and unexpectedly expressive. Drink now through 2021. 369 cases made.

Wine AdvocateBetter, but also slightly straightforward and one-dimensional, the 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon offers up plenty of dark currant fruit, spice box, ground herbs and earth to go with a medium-bodied, easy-drinking feel on the palate. Enjoy it over the coming 4 to 5 years.
