Carpineto Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva 2016
|Region||Italy, Tuscany, Montepulciano|
Color: brilliant ruby red with a tendency to garnet.
Bouquet: ethereal, extraordinarily elegant with hints of violet and wood.
Flavor: dry, harmonic, fruity and velvety, with an elegant texture and long finish.
Gastronomy: aged cheeses and game, especially wild boar.
A mix of fruity and savory, this red reveals as much euclayptus, bay leaf, thyme and tobacco as black cherry, blackberry and licorice. Concentrated and solidly built, lingering with an aftertaste of dark fruit and Mediterranean herbs, plus iron and tobacco. Best from 2023 through 2042. 15,000 cases made, 7,800 cases imported.
