The 2011 Salice Salentino Riserva is a traditional blend of 80% Negroamaro and 20% Malvasia Nera. The wine boasts clean lines and a classic presentation with wild berry, bitter almond and freshly tilled earth. It sees a brief six-month period in oak and although the goal is to offer a simple, food friendly red, this expression is not without its subtle nuances and soft contours.
