Ramey Platt Vineyard Chardonnay 2013

We're sorry, but this product is not currently available.

We press the whole clusters for delicacy. Native-yeast and full native malolactic fermentation take place in barrel, with sur lies bâtonnage. After aging 18 months in 30% new French oak barrels (François Frères), this Chardonnay was fined and settled in tank following the next harvest. It was then bottled without filtration. The Platt Vineyard is our coolest site, producing wine that is more focused and mineral driven than fruit driven.

Wine AdvocateThe 2013 Chardonnay Platt Vineyard, under the well-known Sonoma Coast terroir, offers elegant white currant, quince and stony notes with hints of apple blossom, lemon oil and a touch of orange rind. This medium-bodied wine should drink nicely for 3-4 years.
