Luigi Pira Barolo Vigna Margheria 2013
The wine-making process of Barolo Margheria takes place in horizontal fermentation tanks with temperature control for 12-15 days. The wine ages in large 25-hl wooden barrels for 24 months. Garnet red color. Very intense and complex nose with notes of fruit and flowers and hints of leather and fresh hay. In the mouth it is full-bodied, elegant, with pleasant tannins that are typical of Nebbiolo and of the wines made in the area of Serralunga d'Alba. Perfect balance between tradition and innovation.

Wine SpectatorNotes of eucalyptus, juniper, cherry and fresh-cut grass are the highlights of this vibrant red. Steely, with a backbone of iron and a lingering finish. Best from 2022 through 2040. 400 cases made.
