Dina's Vineyard was planted by the Arata family more than 100 years ago. Today, only about ten acres of gnarled, dry-farmed vines remain at the original Arata homesite. The vines, predominantly head-trained, are planted on the typical eight-by-eight spacing, originally intended to allow horses to cultivate between the vines in both directions of the vineyard planting. A deep, dark color and dense, broad texture are all typical indicators of Dina's Vineyard terroir.

Wine AdvocateThe 2014 Zinfandel Dina's Vineyard (350 case) displays loads of minerality compared to some of the other ones, with a huge concentration of black fruits, roasted Mediterranean herbs, spice box, licorice and some pepper and meat. This is a powerful, full-throttle Zinfandel to drink over the next 7-8 years.

Wine SpectatorTightly focused and balanced, with aromas of boysenberry, mint and crushed stone. Features deep, complex flavors of plum and blueberry, accented by hints of fresh anise, mineral and fresh white pepper. The tannins are big but ripe. Needs time. Best from 2018 through 2026. 345 cases made.
