Château-Suduiraut Sauternes 1998 375ml

We're sorry, but this product is not currently available.

The wines of Chateau Suduiraut are elegant, sweet and fullbodied with a remarkable life expectancy. They are a beautiful gold colour with amber tints when aged. They have harmony, power, complexity, and finesse. It is often said that a great Suduiraut is the essence of Sauternes. Food pairings: melon, exotic dishes, Chinese in particular, seafood--lobster, crab, langoustines, and scallops, sole, turbot, monkfish and seabass; duck, fruit, cherries, peaches, grapes, or oranges. Goes well with white meat, for example pork or veal. Do not forget cheeses such as blue, Roquefort or cows milk cheeses of France.

Wine AdvocateLime and honey on the nose with a touch of grapefruit. Good balance and definition on the palate with notes of pineapple/marmalade and quince. Balanced with good levels of botrytis. A fine Sauternes, though surpassed by other vintages.

Wine SpectatorDried lemon and whipped cream aromas follow through to a medium body, with medium sweetness and a citrus fruit aftertaste. Slightly one-dimensional, delicate style. Drink now. 6,500 cases made
