This Cabernet Sauvignon gives us aromas of ripe black fruit with notes of baked blackberry pie, warm baking spices, and earthy undertones. The voluminous fruit carries through in the mouth. This wine shows great expression of the terroir of the Horse Heaven Hills.

The 2018 Subsoil Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Syrah and 8% Merlot. Aromas of blackberry, juicy currant and cassis with sweet baking spices waft out of the glass with a subtle dusty purple flower essence. Medium to full-bodied, the wine is open-knit and uncomplicated, offering up a balanced structure and ending with elements of milk chocolate, blackberry reduction and vanilla bean on the slightly smoky finish.
