This wine shows a deep red color with shades of ruby on the rim of the glass. To the nose, at the time of release, it revealed a delicate balance between ripe red berry aromas and those of spices and smokiness. Over time, bouquet has grown more complex, showing aromas of leather, coffee beans and raisins. Mouthfeel is as firm, elegant and smooth as one should expect from a Rioja Gran Reserva, with a surprisingly long and fresh finish.
Tempranillo 90%, Garnacha 5%, Mazuelo and Graciano 5% aged in oak for 27 months.
Decanter

A classic Rioja gran reserva, aged for 27 months in new and used oak. Grapes are sourced mainly in Rioja Alta: 80% Tempranillo with 10% Mazuelo and 5% each Garnacha and Graciano. Harmonious, welcoming nose: blackberry, black cherry and strawberry interwoven with black spices, liquorice, sweet cedar and a developing savouriness. An elegant framework of oak supports a palate that will certainly evolve further with time in the cellar: smooth black fruit, spice, leather, a hint of balsamic and plum, plus freshness and fine tannins. Lingering finish.

This deep red-violet-colored wine has a nose of cherry, hazelnut and orange peel. It is bright on entry, then gum-drying tannins settle in on the palate, bearing flavors of berry preserves, cranberry, cedar, mocha and juniper berry. The long finish offers a distinct note of almond toffee.
Vinous

Bright ruby-red. Expressive, mineral-accented aromas of ripe red and blue fruits and baking spices, plus coconut and vanilla overtones. Sweet, spicy and energetic in the mouth, offering juicy, oak-spiced blueberry and cherry liqueur flavors sharpened by a peppery spice accent. Smoothly combines richness and vivacity and finishes with impressive length, lingering sweetness and supple tannins that convey gentle grip.
