Tight and lemony with lots of citrus character and phenolic texture. This is structured and very long. Linear. More like a red in texture. Serious!
The 2016 Latour-Martillac Blanc is impeccable, not to mention incredibly inviting. Lemon confit and floral notes are creamy and beautifully textured in this delicious, super-appealing dry white.
The Latour Martillac 2016 Blanc is a little closed on the nose, offering up glimpses of lemon peel, yuzu and fresh grapefruit scents with hints of wet pebbles and lanolin. Medium-bodied, the palate has plenty of exuberant citrus fruit with a lively backbone and minerally finish. 2019 - 2029.
From the young vines of this Graves classed-growth property, this wine shares some of the impressive structure and aging potential as the Grand Vin of the estate. It is ripe, juicy with grapefruit and tropical flavors balanced with spice from wood aging. Drink from 2021.
