Oyster Bay's 2018 Chardonnay ticks all the boxes: hints of toasted oak and vanilla, peach and pineapple fruit and a bit of citrus for balance. It's light to medium-bodied yet generous, with a soft, creamy texture. Drink it over the next year.
Focused, featuring dried pineapple, citrus and yellow apple flavors, set on a medium body, with a refreshing thread of acidity. Drink now. 10,000 cases made, 7,400 cases imported.
There's bright citrus and peach fruit here, but it's overlaid by vanillin oak, sharp acidity and a plastic quality that makes this feel quite synthetic and forced.
