A lovely ripe red cherry and cranberry-scented bouquet with just a faint whiff of cigar box. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, crisp acidity, harmonious and focused with a fresh, delightful finish.

The 2016 Le Temple has a tightly wound bouquet with blackberry, sous-bois and light tru!e aromas that gradually unfold in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannin, then takes its foot off the accelerator towards the finish and eases down to quite a refined finish. This is worth seeking out. Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois tasting in London.
