This Barolo is grown in different small vineyards and aged for 18 months in large wood. An elegant and smooth Barolo on the palate, characterized by rich and wide aromas of plum, violet and licorice, underlined by a balsamic note. The tannins are perfectly balanced with the fruit, which reveals notes of raspberry and cherry.

Very perfumed with roses and ripe strawberries on the nose. A hint of ash. It’s full-bodied with chewy tannins and a flavorful finish. Structured young wine. Needs a few years. Try after 2023.

Ripe and velvety, this red evokes cherry, plum, licorice, leather and tar flavors. Firm and still a bit taut now, yet nicely balanced and should stretch out with a few years of aging. A touch of spice emerges on the finish. Best from 2024 through 2042.

This opens with aromas of violet, underbrush and spice. On the linear, already approachable palate, polished tannins accompany ripe black cherry, clove and star anise. Drink 2023–2029.

The 2017 Barolo is an attractive wine to drink now and over the next few years. Crushed red berry, spice, mint and sweet floral notes all meld together in this mid-weight, silky Barolo. This is such a delicious entry-level offering. Drink it over the next handful of years.
