Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2018
Our 2014 Sauvignon Blanc is a definitive expression of the region and its season. Appealing concentration and poise suggests a wine with the ability to age. The nose is bright with aromas of kaffir lime and grapefruit. A generous palate reveals ripe citrus, stone fruit and lemongrass flavours balanced by crunchy acidity. Perhaps the hallmark of this vintage is its persistent finish rich with minerality.

Wine AdvocateIn another tricky vintage, the team at Cloudy Bay has turned out one of their best recent efforts. The 2018 Sauvignon Blanc boasts notes of gooseberries and pineapple up front, and shows lovely harmony and roundness on the palate. It's medium-bodied and easy to drink, with hints of nectarine and pink grapefruit joining in on the creamy-textured palate and long, silky finish.
Wine SpectatorKey lime, melon and mandarin orange flavors feature savory notes of saline and toasted herb that linger on the finish. Sleek and refreshing. Drink now. 45,000 cases imported.
Wine EnthusiastThe most well known wine from the brand that arguably put New Zealand wine on the map has gotten more restrained and austere over the years. The latest iteration leads with green grass and tomato-leaf characters. The guava and pineapple fruit is less fleshy and more pithy. Waxy and chalky in texture, it is tight and focused, if a little harshly so. There's focused crunchy acidity and a sea-salt character that lingers on the finish.
