E. Guigal Côtes du Rhône Rosé 2017
|Region||France, Rhone, Cotes du Rhone|
VinousHighly perfumed strawberry and candied rose scents, joined by a slowly building hint of orange zest. Dry and brisk on the palate, offering bitter cherry pit and red berry flavors and a spicy touch of white pepper. Finishes clean and long, displaying resonating florality and a subtle touch of dusty minerals.
Wine AdvocateLike most rosés, Guigal's has seen growth over the past couple of years, and production of the 2017 Cotes du Rhone Rose was close to one million bottles, according to Philippe Guigal. It's a medium-bodied, plump and silky-textured rosé, with bright aromas of strawberries coupled with hints of peach and melon on the palate and finishes with good freshness. Drink up, as the 2018 is expected to be in the United States by February.
