Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2018
Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc is pale straw green, but that color brings with it a brilliant clarity. The aromas are an abundant bouquet on the nose before a balanced palate that is zesty with a strong concentration of fruit flavors. Gooseberry and tropical flavors highlight the fruit notes. This wine finishes with a crisp, lively acidity that is always crisp, elegant and refreshing.
A family company still entirely owned in New Zealand, Oyster Bay’s Sauvignon Blanc was a gold-medal-winning vintage over two decades ago at the International Wine & Spirit Competition. Since then, the winemaker has continued to set the standard for vineyards in New Zealand by letting each vintage realize the potential of its south island home for creating great wines. You can see their philosophy for top-quality winemaking at every step of their process, from the way they choose their vines and vineyards with painstaking analysis to the way they schedule the exact moments they plant, pick and process their flavorful grapes.

Wine EnthusiastThis seems to be sitting under a blanket of sulfur that is somewhat masking the lemon-lime, grapefruit, pineapple, nettle and vegetal aromas. It's oily in texture on the palate, with more flavors of citrus and tropical fruit cut by sharp acidity. The finish feels a touch sour.
Wine SpectatorCrisp and light, this mouthwatering, balanced white offers green apple, grapefruit and lemon notes, with a hint of freshly grated ginger on the finish. Drink now. 10,000 cases made, 10,000 cases imported.
