Spring Mountain Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2015The 2015 vintage was one of our earliest, bookended by cold, wet weather in the spring that impacted fruit-set and by a warm, dry ripening season in the fall. Crop size was smaller overall, but quality was excellent. We had very small berries and loose clusters that led to even ripening and intensely concentrated flavors. There was a great skin to juice ratio that favored high-quality tannin extraction and concentration. The wines from 2015 show a good balance between freshness and power.
Viticcio Chianti Classico Riserva 2015Intense ruby red with violet nuances. A complex nose with sour cherry, ripe blackberry, and cassis with undertones of cinnamon, nutmeg, and freshly ground pepper. On the palate, soft and fresh, with the alcohol rounding out the harshness of the tannins. Finishes with a long, toasted note. Will age well for more than ten years.

Bodegas Olarra Cerro Anon Gran Reserva 2010This wine shows a deep red colour with shades of ruby on the rim of the glass. To the nose, at the time of release, it revealed a delicate balance between ripe red berry aromas and those of spices and smokiness. Over time, bouquet has grown more complex, showing aromas of leather, coffee beans and raisins. Mouthfeel is as firm, elegant and smooth as one should expect from a Rioja Gran Reserva, with a surprisingly long and fresh finish.

Gehricke Russian River Valley Zinfandel 2016The 2016 Russian River Valley Zinfandel is a blend of old vine Zinfandel and a touch of Petite Sirah from the orange, iron-rich soil of Ponzo Vineyard. The Zinfandel on its own is fruity and jammy and Petite Sirah brings in complementary dark fruit flavors and density, resulting in a blend that is full-bodied and well-structured. Powerful spice aromas of cracked cinnamon sticks and black peppercorns mingle with ripe plum aromas and hints of mint chocolate. This full-bodied wine is soft on entry with a texture similar to that of milk chocolate. Ripe plums, cherry cordials and black currants show through on a rich and supple palate.
