2017 vintage gives us a "Rinaldi" of great strength and character, with an extraordinary potential of aging. Speaking of the chromatic level, intensity and color depth of the grape variety stand out; the same complexity is found on the nose, with intense and pleasant notes of wild berries and wild rose. The olfactory profile is then enriched by a good spiciness, given both from grapes than from the refining.
On the palate it's all about full and ripe fruits, the right acidity and a very long final persistence, which make this wine a perfect paring with food rich in fats, as pork meat, creamy and cured cheeses.
The 2017 Barbera d'Alba Rinaldi is flat-out gorgeous. Readers should expect a rich, flamboyant Barbera loaded with jammy fruit, spice and sweet oak notes. This powerful Barbera is not at all subtle but it is a hedonistic and delicious wine.
An elegant Barbera, not lacking in structure. Violet, black currant and vanilla flavors converge, riding the lively acidity to a lingering conclusion. Drink now through 2024. 1,750 cases made, 45 cases imported.
