Te Koko 2020 is complex and appealing, with notes of white flowers, warm hay, summer stone fruit and preserved citrus on the nose. Textured. with layers of white peach, pear and white flowers melding with mineral characters and subtle brioche notes. A freshening acidity underpins this dense and enticing palate, leading to a long and elegant finish.

Initially, the 2020 Sauvignon Blanc Te Koko is sweet, fruity and round, o!ering up tinned mandarins and sweet nectarine fruit (5g/L) alongside subtle oak-derived flavors. However, the wine progresses to become taut and sour, a combination of firm acidity, low pH and phenolics, leading to a slightly uncomfortable conclusion. Rather a disappointing Te Koko, after an impressive 2019.
