Concha y Toro Marques de Casa Concha Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

The 2021 Marques de Casa Concha Cabernet Sauvignon was produced with grapes from the Puente Alto and Pirque and has 4% Petit Verdot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 1% Syrah and 1% Carmenere blended in. It has 14.5% alcohol, good freshness and integrated oak after 16 months in French barrels and 5,000-liter Italian oak vats from Piamonte. This is again a textbook Cabernet from Maipo, juicy, crunchy, fresh, with the grainy tannins from the variety and the stony soils. There's purity; it's clean and young, a little grapey. 780,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in December 2022.

The nose is filled with red berries and forms an enchanting bouquet. This is a concentrated Cabernet that delivers Mediterranean herbs, earthy plums, blackberries and toasted oak flavors.

Well-done in a medium-bodied style, with fresh and inviting raspberry and blackberry flavors, plus subtle tea leaf and warm spice notes that arrive on a finish marked by slightly chalky tannins. Drink now. 65,000 cases made, 15,000 cases imported.
