The 2017 Aglianico Rocca dei Leoni shows dusty black cherry, complemented by sweet spices, white smoke, and alluring dark florals. On the palate, velvety textures give way to polished blue and black fruits, with a bump of acid that provides lift as minerals slowly mount on the senses. The finish is medium in length, showing hints of tobacco, licoric, and inner earth tones.
